Tophill Low Nature Reserve
Yorkshire Water
Tophill Low Nature Reserve is owned and run by Yorkshire Water, in conjunction with the Hull Valley Wildlife Group.
Yorkshire Water has a web-site giving information about Tophill Low, which also contains updated blogs from the warden, Richard Hampshire.
If you are visiting the Reserve, please be aware that dogs are not allowed anywhere on the site, nor can they be left in cars on site, so I'm afraid that 'Man's Best Friend' has to be left out of any visits to Tophill. There is a charge (currently £2.50 for adults/£1 concessions) for visiting, and tickets may be obtained from the machine on site. Bicycles may be left locked in the car-park, but must not be ridden around the site.
Hull Valley Wildlife Group
Richard (Sears) is a volunteer warden at Tophill and has a keen interest in the conservation and wildlife work, which is carried out there. For those of you who live locally, you may be interested in the website run by the Hull Valley Wildlife Group which is full of information about the site and the work which they are involved in.
The group are always looking for new members and volunteers to help carry out essential work to encourage more wildlife into the area, so please contact them if you think you might be interested.
